Please be aware that as a student you have to apply before April 22 to get an official certificate for the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU)!
Application is fast and convenient through our online application system. For a successful procedure you are required to complete the online application form and to upload the following files:
- brief motivational statement of how you want to contribute to a sustainable development (daily routines, projects that you would like to implement, positions you want to hold or held already, etc.) directly to be typed into the application form
- photo of yourself (for participants page and student ID card)
- scanned version of the picture page of your passport
- curriculum vitae
- grade transcript of home university
Your contract partner is OeAD Housing Office. By submitting your application online application through the Summer University website you agree to the OEAD HOUSING OFFICE General Terms and Conditions and automatically start the nomination process. You acknowledge that your application is binding and that Withdrawal or Deferral Refund Policy applies from the moment of submission. This means that you can withdraw from your application without cost until your nomination has been sent. From the moment of nomination a cancellation fee of 20% of the participation fee is due until June 30th 2018, to cover cost incurred at the moment of confirming your spot. In July no refunds can be given. (As a non-profit organization the OEAD HOUSING OFFICE aimes to provide most favorable rates to all participants and therefore does not want to spread your cancellation cost to other students and increase their participation fee.) Thanks for your understanding!
Criteria and process
Applications will be treated as a snap shot of the person’s current personal stage of development. Apart from the necessity of being a registered student, recent University graduate or a professional in the field of architecture or engineering, no knock-out criteria will be applied and your application will be screened thoroughly. The OEAD HOUSING OFFICE is an equal opportunity provider of international education on sustainable development and will never discriminate on nationality, race, religion, physical handicaps or any attributes of this nature.

- knowledge of languages
- academic standing

As we are aiming at a heterogeneous group of people from a variety of backgrounds we highly encourage students from all fields of studies (and all kinds of majors) to apply.
Nomination as participant
After receipt of your online application data we immediaetly start the screening process of your documents. In case we are missing essential information or need additional data to check your eligibility we will get in touch with you.
We will inform you as soon as possible about the status of your nomination for a scholarship.
Please note that the nomination confirmation is sent via email. Thus, please double check the spelling of your email address when submitting your application and check your spam folders for messages from the OEAD HOUSING OFFICE.
Steps to be taken after your nomination
After your nomination you will be asked to submit the following data via additional online forms:
- personal information form
- details of your flight
- signed and scanned Waiver and Insurance Confirmation
- payment confirmation of the participation fee
