For the first time ever we are offering students the opportunity to attend our journalism workshop.

In cooperation with Climate Tracker, a network of more than 7,000 environmental journalists in 150 countries, the programme will encourage learners to grow as a journalist through interactive sessions, lectures and group work.

The course will explore how students can reach the wider public and media with their ideas on the current monetary and economic system, as well as providing alternatives. Over the three-days, participants will learn how to research topics, find story angles, write in a journalistic style and reach editors to get stories published.

In 2017, Climate Tracker conducted multi-day workshops in more than 20 different countries in partnership with organisations including the KR Foundation, UNESCO and the University of Cambridge. The organisation also awarded more than 100 journalism fellowships.

The workshop, which is open to students and professionals of all ages and from all walks of life, will be held at Vienna’s BOKU University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences from 13-15 August 2018 – following the AEMS Summer University.
