AEMS and GBS application deadline extended

GOOD NEWS for all of you who are interested in taking part in our summer universities Green.Building.Solutions. (GBS) and Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems (AEMS). There are still scholarships available for the GBS and there are a few empty spots for the AEMS. Apply by June 30 to secure you place.

The GBS program is split into two weeks of lectures, workshops, exercises, and excursions, with the third week dedicated to designing a group project incorporating the knowledge gained during the first two weeks. The main topics of the 3-week program are sustainability in building and urban planning, principles of passive house design, and renewable energies and business concepts. The Summer University is co-organized by a consortium of leading Austrian universities and international partners.

We welcome university students from all over the world who want to expand their architectural knowledge in an intercultural and interdisciplinary environment for a more sustainable future.

AEMS is an academic pluralist summer school that offers insight into economic alternatives considering natural boundaries and social factors. Lectures, workshops and discussion panels enable the students to acquire a deeper understanding of the intricate interactions of “society” and “economy”. The program is the result of a cooperation between universities, technical colleges and NGOs. Recently, the IIASA and Club of Rome joined the summer school as supporters. Prof. Ernst Ulrich Weizsäcker, co-president of the Club of Rome, will be a guest-lecturer on 25 July 2018!
