AEMS and GBS share the aim of finding new pathways for a more sustainable future as well as a healthier planet – and we are very pleased to announce they have kicked off in Vienna with 101 students from 47 nations! The event welcomed the three speakers Helga Kromp-Kolb (climate expert), Anika Dafert (activist at Fridays for Future Austria) and Gabu Heindl (architect and urban planner). International education in challenging times
This year, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the „Green.Building.Solutions. (GBS)“ summer university and the 7th instalment of the summer school „Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems (AEMS)“ – both held in a brand-new online-format!

Fighting climate change in times of health and economic crisis
2020 has exacerbated how closely our economic, environmental and social systems are connected and how important it is to tackle those challenges as a whole. Therefore, this year's opening event of our interdisciplinary summer university programs focused on the question: "Are we missing out on an opportunity to re-think our economic, environmental and social systems?".
